Zoo Taiping & Night Safari, Taiping

(2.6/5 based on 240+ reviews on the web)
Zoo Taiping & Night Safari provides a look at the secret world of wild animals. Walk through the lush tropical greenery and check out the numerous creatures populating the zoo, including tigers, hippos, elephant, giraffes, various monkey species, and many other wild creatures. Read the posters for more information about each animal. For a different look at the animal world, ride a tram on the night safari and observe the nocturnal animals in their natural habitats. Avoid snapping photos during the moonlit ride, as the flashing cameras tend to disturb animals. Put Zoo Taiping & Night Safari and other Taiping attractions into our Taiping family vacation planner, and watch your holiday take shape.

  • Most of the animals were asleep, not well-lit. Creepy. Not worth the price and time. Plus point; we had the whole place to ourselves. Could have been better.  more »
  • The animals are all caged and there are no free shows available. The zoo is smelly and you don't have much interaction with the animals. Just a very basic zoo.  more »
  • The night safari isn't much of a thing to see. A noisy tractor engine tram takes you around the place and the animals must be having a hard time resting. The sun bear paces around its confines and I w...  more »

  • The night safari was disappointing. The tram travelled too fast and hardly any animals could be seen. The sound system on the tram was bad with crackling sounds. Entrance fee was RM21.20 with 50% discount for senior citizens. Not worth it as there was nothing much to see. A better alternative would be to drop off visitors at chosen main places with the tram making the circuit say, every 15 minutes.
  • A lot of hype, but a little dissappointing to be honest. The entire tour commentary was in Malay - ok with me, but I wonder how tourists can understand. There was not all that much "activity", and we zoomed through the zoo on the tram quite quickly. Still fun for the kids.
  • I haven't gone for the night safari but I do recommend going to the zoo. It is so much better than Zoo Negara in KL. This is very well maintained and the animals look extremely happy. Ticket prices are very reasonable as well. Don't hesitate to drop by if you're swinging past Taiping. You won't be disappointed. 👌😄
  • Better than zoo negara. Some renovation and roadworks going on while I was here. Worth a visit if you're in Taiping. Pick up free copies of the Taiping Heritage Town map for a 20% discount off the entry fee per person per map.
  • I like this zoo much better than Zoo Negara. The staffs are knowledgeable, hospitable and genuinely care for the animals. I had a great time during the night safari.
