2.7/5 based on 200+ reviews on the web
Zoo Taiping & Night Safari provides a look at the secret world of wild animals. Walk through the lush tropical greenery and check out the numerous creatures populating the zoo, including tigers, hippos, elephant, giraffes, various monkey species, and many other wild creatures. Read the posters for more information about each animal. For a different look at the animal world, ride a tram on the night safari and observe the nocturnal animals in their natural habitats. Avoid snapping photos during the moonlit ride, as the flashing cameras tend to disturb animals. Put Zoo Taiping & Night Safari and other Taiping attractions into our Taiping family vacation planner, and watch your holiday take shape.

  • The park is just in the right size, not too big and not too small to explore. There are 2 path routes, just following them you will see everything. Great to see some iconic animals from the country, l...  read more »
  • Went there at 11.30 am and exited after 2 hours inside. Was quite an interesting and informative trip. Though the living conditions of the animals still needs some cleaning and tidying up, I would say...  read more »

  • I haven't gone for the night safari but I do recommend going to the zoo. It is so much better than Zoo Negara in KL. This is very well maintained and the animals look extremely happy. Ticket prices are very reasonable as well. Don't hesitate to drop by if you're swinging past Taiping. You won't be disappointed. 👌😄
  • For night safari, you can only buy the tickets before enter, cannot do early purchase. Open 8am to 6pm for daily zoo, and 8pm to 11pm for night safari (school holidays extend up to 1am). Adult RM20, kids above 3y.o RM10. Parking RM3. Please park at the area nearest to the complex or you might ended up walking home. Walked for 1hr + before taking the tram as queue was long when we arrived (still also full even after we finished walking at 10pm). The tram ride tour guide is friendly and knowledgeable about the animals. Tram ride only takes about 20mins, though. I had no experience with night safari prior to this, but my eye was strained and tired from so little light at the night safari (be warned). The large animals are visible (hippo, zebra, panther and even mousedeer) but good luck finding the rest. The souvenir shop is interesting and affordably priced - bought some t-shirts there. Tip: If taking photos using phone camera, make sure you set to at least 1s exposure or you will end up with dark, wasted photos.
  • Good way to see the zoo, if you go on foot it is much better. The train that brings the majority of visitors through its noisy and the animals hide. Really good way to see those animals that only come out at night. Cages are decent quality too, not too cramped.
  • The price for night safari(RM22) is slightly higher than day safari (RM16). There are free train service in the zoo to give a drive to the visitors throughout the zoo instead of walking. There are about 1300 animals in the zoo which is a good place for students to learn more about the animal in the world.
  • Unique place, surrounding with Lake Gardens. New attraction and improvements. Animals are well fed and taken care of.
