  • Well, it's a mangrove forest, so take plenty of mosquito repellent and be prepared that the monkeys will have had their muddy paws all over your car before you return to it. But if you love nature, th...  more »

  • A good place to find balance with nature. Quiet and serene. Overall, Kuala Sepetang has a lot of potentials to attract tourist. Need to promote more on the boat ride, eagle and firefly watch.
  • Nice place for relax and clear your mind. Be careful with the monkey as they might be attacking.
  • Good place to have some morning or afternoon activities. We can take a walk along the pedestrian walk-way built surrounding the mangrove area and be close to the nature. Lack of promotion, it is hardly noticeable that they are foodstall and loging facilities inside the mangrove area. Quite a good place for group activities etc. In addition visitors can also rent a river cruise service for a good ride in exchange for a small fee of around RM10-50 per person depending on how many people you have for the ride. At the time of my visit, the fee charged by the operator inside this area was cheaper than the fee charges by other operators outside this area. Note: expect some entry fee per person or per car/vehicle at the Mangrove entrance.
  • One of the mangrove reserve available in Malaysia. You can walk on the wooden walkaway through mangrove forest. There are chalet available, but not sure about its condition. You can take a ride by boat along the river there to see fisherman village, firefly and red eagle habitat nearby. If you lucky, you may find river dolphin too, said the boat driver.
  • Great place to learn about mangrove. The firefly tour is also a breathtaking experience
