    The Wat Charok Padang is a Wat in the Malay Kampung, Thai style wat, Therawada Buddism. The special of it, is it is using a lot of bottles as decoration.

    A special Thai temple. Use bottles to decorate....nice!

    This temple is also called the glass bottles temple of the northern Malaysia. The temple is located on a very huge piece of land surrounding by local villages, mainly of the local Malaysian Siamese descendent. The locals are very friendly and helpful. There are few festive celebrations each year which makes the temple packed with devotees. But, usually the temple provides you with a peaceful and serene environment upon arrival.

    A Burmese or Thai Buddhist temple, I am not very sure about this. There were some buildings in the temple area constructed by glass bottles, which I thought that it is quite rare to be seen. The temple is located in quite a remote area, which takes quite some time to reach from the main city.

    very good experience to visit this Wat Charok Padang enchanting glass bottle temple and a visit is not complete without paying our respect to the chief abbot.
