Where to stay in Sibu

Most hotels in Sibu sit in the city center, granting easy access to major parks and the indoor market; if you stay in the middle of town, sightseeing will be a snap. Do not expect luxury suites, however, and if you want a guaranteed quality room, aim for midrange accommodations. For budget-minded travelers, Sibu offers a handful of options. Just remember you get what you pay for, and the least expensive rooms are likely run-down and not too clean.

  • Its pretty deserted and seems to be a little run down. Shops lots are vacant. Architecture makes for good photos.
  • The place is spacious and suitable for events that require huge outdoor space. There is also souvenir shops where people can buy local products as present if you are a tourist visiting Sarawak and Sibu
  • Great collection of information and displays depicting the history and culture of Sarawak and its environs.
  • A place to learn about the history and people of sibu
  • A gallery showing very detailed history of the Sibu and the history of methodist missionaries building schools and churches. A place to have a glance through the history of Sibu. There are also some coffee shops downstairs. Difficult to find parking here. Usually have to park at the Sibu night market location and walk there.
