Sipadan National Park, Semporna
(4.7/5 based on 220+ reviews on the web)
Bring a camera and dive into the exotic world of Sipadan National Park, famous for its diversity of marine life. Exploring the reef is sure to be a memorable experience, but be sure to pick up a permit first, as the number of divers is restricted each day. Once in the water, look out for humphead fish, barracuda, and giant turtles. With a little luck, you might even run into a gigantic whale shark. The ocean bed is abundant with vibrant coral and other marine life, making it the perfect setting for macro photography. A visit to Sipadan National Park represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Semporna itinerary planner to plot your vacation.

  • We came from Mataking, about 1.5 hours boat trip. Unfortunately you see swimming very much garbage in the sea, which - thankfully - the closer we National Park the Sipadan - was getting little. The diving we unique - huge schools of Jackfish, sharks, Schildkräten and and and... Lunch was on the island, what's to complain about that - although access to the dive / snorkeling is limited – my opinion too many tourists come each day. To many Chinese, who are not used to dealing with nature, the coral, etc.. We had booked a 2nd trip, however, the waves for a crossing was too high by a thunderstorm. This is the disadvantage of Mataking! Very recommended!
