Kinabalu Park, Sabah

3.7
#7 of 22 in Nature in Sabah
Explore Kinabalu Park, an area brimming with nature that became the country's first World Heritage Site in 2000. Established in 1964, the grounds stretch out across 754 sq km (291 sq mi) and surround Mount Kinabalu, the highest mountain in the country. Bring your identification books with you, because over 4,500 species of plant and animal life live here, including endemic species like the Kinabalu giant leech, the Kinabalu giant earthworm, and the Nepenthes rajah. A popular place with hikers and climbers, the range of peaks here offers plenty of excitement for even the most experienced practitioners. Decided to leave the city of Kota Kinabalu for 100 km the highest mountain in JuVAzii ⛰. cold weather in the mountains, even had to get jackets ⛈, persistent downpours always! ⛈, having arrived on the mountain was the first disappointment Park allowed up to a small height, and then only those who with equipment ️ ♀ and purchased tickets in advance-booking on a climb, literally not long ago you could climb above 1.5 thousand km. the common man walking in the Park and looking at flowers, animals, waterfalls and a TD, and only above might go prepared people. But since not so long ago there have been accidents rise above banned. The endpoint where now you can squirrels with his hands. To the maximum vertices can be reached only with climbing equipment (ropes, hooks, etc). Up to 1.5 thousand peaks can be reached by car and actually turn around, or walking in the jungle in several places cuffs from the paved road, there's nothing you won't see no animals, no flowers, no insects-just the forest, trees, mud, clay. All the fun on the mountain above. If you're not going to go up, it's best not to waste time (wasted money for entry and time) and immediately go to Hot poring (hot springs-30 km from this place.) There's much better jungle and at low altitude.
