  • This is probably the most beautiful Thai temple in the Selangor /Kuala Lumpur area. Good for taking photos. Peaceful unless you visit during Wesak day. Note that your own transport is essential to vis...  more »

  • Thai Buddhist temple. Huge with nice buildings inside. Serene and quiet most of the times but can get very crowded and pack, not to mention the horrible traffic jam during festive times like New Year and Vesak day etc.
  • Very calm and clean temple. no rush / crowd. Very well maintained. A must visit place to spend a calm evening. Visit this temple first, and then visit nearby garden to spend a great evening with your loved ones.
  • Almost half of electrical points has broke down more than a year, didnt repair until now, even we complaint to management, they said keep on pushing responsibility, no respect to our ancestors! They keep on building new building but cant just get someone to repair!Terrible!
  • One of the well known Buddhist temples in Klang Valley. Renovation is going on in some areas in the premises. There is a blessing hall in the main temple where you can bless by a monk on service. On 1st and 15th of the Chinese calendar, it can get very crowded and parkings can be very chaotic.
  • Grew up visiting this temple and the past 10 years, it has truly transformed..thanks to the generous donation of the public. Pretty much the most popular Thai temple in Petaling Jaya or even the Klang Valley. This temple now has many more car parks within the compound, proper walkways & stairs, tiles on areas to do prayers, refurbished structures.. During Wesak and some events, it could get extremely crowded. A suggestion is to take public transport such as Grab/Uber. Since not all areas are covered, bring along an umbrella for it may get very hot or wet duri rainy season. Some may not know, there is a little Café that serves up Thai dishes in the temple. Think it is open depending on the mood of the operator 😅 I'd say their food is edible..

Where to stay in Petaling Jaya

Petaling Jaya is just far enough away from central Kuala Lumpur to be more affordable and less crowded, but still well connected enough to make traveling a breeze. You can find plenty of mid-range hotels, as well as some luxurious options, although not much in the way of low-budget accommodations. Make sure to look for something close to an LRT (rapid transit) station for easy access into central Kuala Lumpur. If none of the accommodations in Petaling Jaya suit your taste, simply stay in Kuala Lumpur proper; excellent public transport connections make the commute simple and quick.
