  • You know you're in the right place when it's packed with fun - from the staff to the facilities. The best and safest place to climb in Malaysia, hands down (not literally). Highly recommended :)  more »

  • One of the largest climbing gyms in Asia, very tall top rope, many bouldering walls, plus a nice cafe serving healthy food fare. 90% of the staff were genuinely nice & friendly. -1 star for the owner who blew off my daughter when she tried to meet him in person, after she took the effort to email him about her interest in rock climbing. We made the long stay to KL specifically for her to come and climb at Camp5, and to make new acquaintances and mentors. So that was a big letdown. Luckily, the staff (all but one), and coach Francis, made up for his shortcomings, and we signed up our daughter for a 12mo membership. It's definitely a good value for a long term membership for anyone serious about the sport, as you will not run out of challenges to improve your skills. The cafe has excellent espresso/coffee, and the food menu is great as well. Try the Burmese dishes if you have never tried Burmese food before. They are great, made by two staff who are from Burma/Myanmar. Highly recommended.
  • This is still by far one of the best indoor climbing gyms I've ever visited - well-maintained walls and facilities, professional staff and its excellent location (and view!) overlooking the LDP make Camp5 a great place for newbies to learn the ropes or seasoned climbers to spend their weekends when they aren't out hitting the natural rocks. Plus, they were kind enough to extend the expiry date of my 10 Pass - it's been a busy year. ;0
  • This place is one of the most complete climbing gym I have been to!! Although I'm still rather new and green, staff there as well as the regulars and Camp5 were all friendly and willing to give help and guidance and has then allowed me to enjoy my experience there! Highly recommend this place for people who want to start rock climbing either as a hobby or just another recreational activity or even get serious about it. :)
  • Had a team building event here and Fareez was great help. Great fun event and the entire team had fun! Great coaches and guides to teach newbies on the team. Fantastic workout and great place for the family as well.
  • My first visit to the gym was 2014 when I signed up for a Taster Session. It was a really great 1 hour because the facilitator I had was really friendly and kind and patient with my friends and I. I really got to take it slowly and learn to climb step-by-step. Because of this experience, I was really excited to go back and sign up for an actual membership. In 2016, I got my membership. So far, the experience has been okay. The place is clean and the facilities are pretty well-maintained. However, I was disappointed at the strict rules as to who can enter the gym. I would prefer it if veteran climbers could still use the gym even without having gone through the BWC. Like, some of my friends have climbing experience but they could not use the gym facilities because they did not go through the BWC. So, that's how it is. Overall, it has been satisfying and I look forward to continue my climbing experience at Camp 5.
