Just off the coast of West Malaysia, Perhentian Islands offer access to sandy beaches, azure seas, and dense green jungles providing a home for many wild animals. Ideal for snorkelers, most of the islands' beaches feature shallow waters, frequented by cuttlefish, parrotfish, and rays. Scuba divers can take advantage of various reefs and wrecks, swarming with marine life. If you can bear to drag yourself away from your perfect spot on the sand, the islands' interiors provide jungle trekking, with monitor lizards, giant spiders, and the occasional monkey. • Please take note, best date to go to Perhentian Island is on Mid of March (10th and later) until End of September .Perhentian Island is CLOSE from October until February because of northeast monsoon winds. Perhentian Island for me is in Top 10 list best & beautiful & must visit island in Malaysia. It takes around 30minutes maybe from Kuala Besut Jetty to Perhentian Island. Don't forget to bring Ice Box Storage 10L or bigger with ice cubes inside with drinks if you are about to do snorkeling, swimming & diving journey to some places with boat captain. Place your Food and Baverages on the boat. You may get hungry and DEHYDRATION because of water activities. Foods and Baverages are quite expensive in Perhentian Island. Bring your own snorkeling goggles for best experience. Boat captain's provided snorkeling goggles, but i think their goggles is little dirty and not be clean up properly. The MOST IMPORTANT thing is WEAR YOUR SAFETY LIFE JACKET CORRECTLY and PROPERLY!! Enjoy your holidays~. #Visit Malaysia , #Cuti-Cuti Malaysia , #Terengganu Kita , #Ganu Kite
  • I do love Perhantian islands!! I’ve been here for two times an both of them was unforgettable. You can get there by bus or by plane, then take a ferry directly to the island. This place is famous for its numerous clean beaches, and amazing places for snorkeling and diving as well. Take a cheap taxi boat and explore the variety of beaches. It isn’t offer diversity of activities, it’s an amazing place for relaxation.
  • We had a great time here for the 2D1N. From the Jetty, it only takes about half an hour to get to Perhentian Island. Plan your trip during the weekdays instead of the weekends if you want to avoid crowds. No matter how much money you have, this island can give you an unforgettable experience and a cheap place to stay. This island is so incredible and breathtaking that it should be at the top of everyone's bucket list. Its the ideal option for an island getaway if you are feeling stressed out by your problems, your job, or just life in general. The water is a brilliant sapphire blue, and its clarity is such that even the most basic camera could photograph the marine life under its surface. The island is covered with lush vegetation, and there are coconut palms scattered all over the place. The atmosphere is really tropical. When you go snorkeling, carry some food and mineral water with you on the boat since the activities in the water will lead you to get dehydrated. I had a great time snorkeling, and it was probably one the nicest experience I've ever had. You may have fun with the fish since they are sociable and will engage in playful behavior with you. At the turtle point, we were unlucky since the turtle would not swim to the surface to join us..maybe we will have better luck the next time. If you are planning a vacation on a tight budget and want to avoid spending a lot of money on food due to the high cost of food on the island, you can try buying some food or snacks on the main land before you go to the island. However, if you stay in Kampung Nelayan, the price is more manageable for your budget. You may expect another visit from us, Perhentian!
  • Nice place very friendly local people best island and clear ocean water
  • One of the nice beaches to go to. You can either take the bus or plane. When we went, we took the bus going (around 7hours), then ferry to the island and then plane back to KL. We went to the big island, no parties at night (not sure if due to COVID). They said that the parties are in the small island. A lot of tours are also available there.
