Inspirock Rating:
2.9/5 based on 550+ reviews on the web
Meet some of Southeast Asia's most famous creatures at Lok Kawi Wildlife Park. Opened in 2007, the park focuses on both the zoological and the botanical, divided into separate areas. In the zoo, see the endangered proboscis monkeys with their huge snouts and pot-bellies--a native species found only on the island. In the botanical area, follow the 1.4 km (0.9 mi) paved jungle trail, walking through arrangements of flowering vines and surrounded by towering lime trees. • Proboscis monkeys and orang-utans up close, look that can be. The mynah birds and chat and talk to compete, would talk to me. Cry of the cat is good. Was lucky because he also frequented local time entered for the first time, public Botanical Garden in the back!

  • Accessibility : If you follow your GPS and you're on a road that doesn't look like it leads to a wildlife park, you're on the right track. To me, it needed more signboards to convince people they're n...  read more »

  • Some amazing animals to see. Definitely a zoo though, not a wildlife park. Knowledgeable staff, definitely get there for feeding time for a great show (starts at 2pm, but times may change). If you can't make feeding time I'd give it 3 stars.
  • It's a pretty well laid out zoo, and for only RM10 entry (20 for Foreigners), it's great value for money. It is clean, well thought out, and wasn't too crowded even on a Sunday. We got there at 1.30pm which was perfect to saunter around for a bit before following the light feeding times of the sun bears, Tiger, otters and gibbons, and then proboscis monkeys. Feeding starts at 2pm and they are all one after the other. There is a very small but entertaining show at 3:15 at the amphitheater. I would highly recommend this place if you have kids, and even if you don't and have a few hours to kill and want to see some animals, this is a good place to do it at.
  • Good 1st experience for kids. Shows are not punctual. So typical of Malaysians 😅 Needs more proper directory and signage. Sad to see small pets like guinea pigs and rabbits are not well taken of. Lack of petting zoo.
  • Entry fee per pax is RM10. With the price you pay, with what you get. RM10, totally can;t expect much. The zoo consist of various animal but not kinda interactive. Some of the animal is cooped in poor condition. Nothing much excited.
  • A great place to see lots of unique animals, especially the native monkeys. Lots of animals to see, and even though the park is small, you'll need a few hours. Well priced, easy to get around, and all the animals had nice enclosures and were well looked after. The only disappointing thing was the shops weren't open, so we couldn't buy any souvineers.
