  • We booked the Essential Mulu Showcaves 3-Day/2 Night tour through Borneo Adventures. Definitely recommend you do this! We had 3 adults and we flew into the little airport in Borneo and were picked up ...  more »
  • All activities in Gunung Mulu National Park start at ' Park HQ '. Passionate, friendly people who work there anywhere from know. With all sorts of questions are you good helped! At Park HQ you can book all tours. We had read in advance in the activities on the Web site of the park. So we knew that the caves with name ' showcaves ' which means that you can walk with a guide on deposed paths. The caves are magnificent, also in this beaten path, but we also wanted to really do Active things so we have two ' adventure cave ' tours; the garden of Eden valley walk and the stone horse cave. Both fantastic! With the garden of Eden valley walk you have to climb and swim through Dear cave to end up in the garden of Eden valley. Then you climb up there through the rainforest to a waterfall where you can swim. This tour is particularly beautiful and unforgettable! Also do it with moderate condition! Please note, the adventure cave tours where you have to swim are regularly considered void if the water level of the river is too high. It is a rainforest, so takes into account changes in your schedule! In General, the park is very well kept, the guides are all very friendly, they are locals who know a lot about nature and the environment. You can ask anything! We were four nights in Mulu. During those days were two of our adventure cave tours resistance because of the weather. One of the tours we have completely no longer can do to our regret. Tip: go during the months of June, July or August. Then the rainy season is over and is most likely that you can do everything what you have planned!

  • Park is beautifully situated. Staff is very professional and trips are well prepared. Footpaths are well maintained. Caves are the highlight, very big and picturesque.  more »
