3.9/5 based on 150+ reviews on the web
Visit St. Peter's Church to discover the oldest functioning Roman Catholic Church in Malaysia, completed more than 300 years ago. Constructed by the early Portuguese colonists in the first decade of the 18th century, the simple yet elegant structure features a combination of Eastern and Western architectural styles. One of the building's bells dates back to 1608 and was brought here from an older Dutch church. Stop by to admire the largely unadorned interior, or stand in front and take a few photos of this historically significant shrine. • A short walk from the Netherlands square the Church and up the Hill to the Summit. No roof because a church mark is almost only the exterior walls. Is there particularly impressive from the bottom. Stairs to the Church are quite steep and climbs up the view from the top was very good.

  • It is the oldest functioning Roman Catholic Church in Malaysia in the heart of Malacca. Check at the church for mass times.
  • I visited in the Malacca trip. Up the stairs from the Netherlands square, will arrive soon. I don't think World Heritage sites are all so narrow. Good weather from the hill where the Church and overlook the Strait of Malacca. This is the atmosphere is only the walls or roofing valueless church history.

  • A simple and humble church by structure and design.Attended mass and organized CST programmes here during my student days.
  • The oldest catholic church in Melaka. The oldest church would be Christ Church. The church building itself looks moderate and modest. Not too many intricate sculptures or stained glass. Parking can be done within the church grounds.
  • Attended the Celebration of Mass on 29th April 2015, beautiful Church, love the stained glass!!❤️
  • I have not been here for more than 10 years. A lot of changes to the area around it
  • At St. Peter's Church, barring a solemn atmosphere and with faith to the holy night, I watched a reflection of the past.
