  • By car from the center of the Malacca 5-is a fortress on the Hill ran sixth. Atop a small Cannon are watchful glare. Took me to the local. It is crowded with people who come to see the sunset at said point, and in the evening. However, set the tone, so depending on the location is bad. The have a strong coconut juice cream push man in the parking lot, we were turned down at first, but is eventually purchase. This uncle, sales force.

  • No historical facts provided at the location but the floating restaurant is very nice
  • St. John's Fort @ the top of St. John's Hill is called Kota Senjuang in Bahasa. It has given the name to the Portuguese Village "St John", better known as The Portuguese Settlement, a stone throw away from the hill. It is a nice place for a visit if you enjoy good views. The view from the top of St. John's hill is particularly inspiring at sunset. And Ujong Pasir, just east of the hill, is a great place to look for authentic local food. The fort was once a private chapel dedicated to St. John the Baptist, it was constructed during the Dutch occupation of Melaka in the 18th century. Interesting features that should be noted, is that the forts cannons are facing inland instead of the sea. The Dutch feared inland threats from Acehnese and Bugis invaders more, than from the maritime attackers.
  • Small fort on top of this hill. People came here for evening and morning jog. There are monkeys here.
  • Nice Malacca view towards sea side
  • Quite place and suitable for exercise spot. Be prepared for mosquitoes in the evening.

Where to stay in Melaka

Luxury hotels in opulent buildings frequently sit right alongside budget accommodations in Melaka. Side streets and alleyways offer secluded rooms in attractive buildings that are often as grandiose as regal hotels. For budget lodgings, look for the main arterial roads, which lack the charm of the rest of the town, but provide comfortable rooms at reduced rates.
