Stop by Flora de la Mar Maritime Museum for a chance to board a replica of a Portuguese sailing ship and experience a taste of life at sea in the 16th century. Named after the ship it displays, this museum allows visitors to discover the history of sea travel in the region through numerous artworks and maritime artifacts. Pick up an audio guide at the entrance or wander at your own pace, reading the provided information signs. The original version of the ship exhibited here was the largest carrack ever built at the time of its completion. After serving for 9 years--a remarkably long lifetime for a vessel of that period--the ship and its hoard of treasures sank during a storm. • The are three areas to explore with one single ticket. Some of the exhibits are weakly maintain, but overall is fine. They provide details history on the maritime development in Malacca and Southeat Asia region. Trading and politics, various kind of ships and boats etc. And there are real modern maritime weapons at the TLDM Meseum, which make the kids very excited. Prepare to spend at least an hour here.
  • Great musuem inside the ship replica. Melacca history is so interesting
  • I loved the place. The designs of ships are amazing.check out the ship models there.
  • The big boat is nice for photo taking but the maintenance is a little backward. A dried urine smell at the entrance into the boat and the floor is wet there . Wondering if a toilet above is leaking.
  • good place for family and kids to learn about history of malacca and to go into a real big boat
