Chinatown - Melaka, Melaka

(3.2/5 based on 550+ reviews on the web)
Walk the streets of an old district of the historical town at Chinatown - Melaka. The well-preserved Chinese architecture complements the bustling and thriving atmosphere of the main street. Stop into a restaurant to enjoy some authentically Chinese cuisine and listen the hum of the shoppers passing by, then head into the main commercial area yourself to try your hand at haggling for trinkets, souvenirs, and oddities from across the globe. The temples and clan houses present some of the best-preserved architecture here: scope them out down the small alleys that lead off from the main thoroughfares. Before you head to Melaka, plan trip itinerary details with our user-friendly Melaka travel itinerary planner, to make sure you see all that Melaka has to offer, including Chinatown - Melaka.

  • Melaka; A small town that really deserves a visit. Here you will find a lot of history, culture and cheap shopping. Take the opportunity to buy everything here. Prutbart in Chinatown, but also cheap at shopping centers. Make a visit to the "House of culture" inside chinatown. It shows how it all started, how the Chinese came and minted town and trade. A town hall which remains with all its furnishings. Good guided tours in English. Visit!!
