Bridge Tourist Spot
Walk across Langkawi Sky Bridge, an impressive landmark of engineering set in lush natural scenery. Connecting two hilltops of Machinchang mountain, the curved bridge spans 125 m (410 ft) and hangs around 100 m (328 ft) above the ground. Its bends allow you to catch different perspectives on the virgin rainforest beneath as it twists around natural features, creating new vistas. Catch a cable car up the mountain, then take a 10-15 minute hike to reach the beginning of the bridge. Where to stay in Langkawi

Langkawi Island offers by far the greatest number of accommodation options out of all 104 isles in the archipelago. Look for affordable and comfortable rooms in Kuah and the southwestern peninsula, where inexpensive hotels, hostels, and rental apartments draw many budget visitors. For a luxury experience, head to the surrounding islands, where private resorts charge high prices for more amenities and larger rooms.

  • This is a place you need to visit to get a bird's eye view of Langkawi. The visit is family friendly bur try to avoid busy time like school holidays and month of december. The queue will be mile long....  more »
  • Commercial cable car. View is Nice but not so special and there are way more free things to do on the Island which are nicer. You have to pay extra to be on the bridge but the view is not good there. ...  more »

  • A must see for any Langkawi visitor. It has attractions for all ages. The Sky Bridge itself is a fascinating place to be. Gorgeous views of mountains and seas all around. Usually there is a cool breeze to comfort everybody. It's better to take the tram to get to the bridge otherwise there is a long stairway to navigate (oh my knees...)! Of course, the spectacular views are perfect compensation! There are some glass squares set on the bridge walkway through which you can almost see the bottom. Some people stand on the glass squares to take pictures (not advisable for the nervous or who hate heights). There are other attractions for younger visitors at the base like 3D pics, video games etc. Ticket prices are reasonable. Two things to remember - avoid the irritating photographers, they charge a huge amount for a simple group pic that you can take yourselves or simply with the help of a fellow tourist. Other thing is to keep your taxi for the duration of your visit here. Happy travelling.
  • An extra 5MR for a ticket out to the sky bridge was very cheap and worthwhile doing. It's a very impressive structure with stunning views. Unless you have trouble with stairs then the funicular won't be worth it. The walk is short but a bit steep. It looks like they are building more paths, atthe moment it's narrow and 2 way so will be better if they make it a loop to avoid congestion.
  • It is very well worth it to pay RM55 per person to come up here. The cable car ride is fun and exciting for the whole family. The view is captivating and breeze soothing. Word of caution: remember to apply sunblock as most part of the sky bridge is not sheltered. The walk to the sky bridge is as interesting as the cable car ride itself. I will suggest able bodied tourists to take the walk instead of the tram when you are up here. Old folks and the disabled can take the tram at a small fee. Enjoy the walk at the sky bridge!
  • It was such a wonderful experience with family there. The beautiful sunset on the day. And windy and cool weather makes u really relaxing.
  • All in all, a nice place to spend the day. But one thing really frustrated me ... they just went overboard taking photos of the customers. Guys, please ... DO NOT irritate the holidaymakers. Stop pestering everyone. Just snap those who are interested and don't bother the rest of us.
