Langkawi Sky Bridge, Langkawi

4.4
Walk across Langkawi Sky Bridge, an impressive landmark of engineering set in lush natural scenery. Connecting two hilltops of Machinchang mountain, the curved bridge spans 125 m (410 ft) and hangs around 100 m (328 ft) above the ground. Its bends allow you to catch different perspectives on the virgin rainforest beneath as it twists around natural features, creating new vistas. Catch a cable car up the mountain, then take a 10-15 minute hike to reach the beginning of the bridge. • Mind blowing place to visit if you are here. You will remember life time. The views are wonderful and the air, also how lovely when it will be raining. Lot of tourists come here ans take photographs. Best plafe in the world to walk. Don't miss!!!
  • Fantastic place. Its totally worth it...Be aware of photographers on different levels. They take you are picture as (as if its a mandatory procedure!) and try to sell it back to you on your return journey...
  • What a site to behold. A must visit in you're in Langkawi. The cable car thrilling ride to the top is the steepest in the world. Nearing the top you get the chance to mount on the sky bridge which is shaped like a boomerang. There's also a cafe in the sky if I might say if you so ever feel hungry.
  • The view was stunning but personally I feel that more could be done for safety on the bridge especially for younger children. The gap between the bridge and the railings are a bit wide for children's feet. No crowd control. Tourists stopped to take pics in the middle section hogging the passage. Parents with young children should be cautious.
  • Awesome views!. This is a civil engineers dream structure :). Has glass panels where you can view the bottom as well. Better to go on a weekday or early in the morning, around 9am, where it is less crowded

Where to stay in Langkawi

Langkawi Island offers by far the greatest number of accommodation options out of all 104 isles in the archipelago. Look for affordable and comfortable rooms in Kuah and the southwestern peninsula, where inexpensive hotels, hostels, and rental apartments draw many budget visitors. For a luxury experience, head to the surrounding islands, where private resorts charge high prices for more amenities and larger rooms.
