  • Certainly worth a visit (if not just for a break from the rain or sun). Lots to see and learn in the 3 adjacent museums, which are all FREE ! The text is however rather small on some of the exhibits  more »

  • At the white building (Arts Museum) now is the exhibition "orang Sarawak". Very interesting and a must-see. Modern style exhibition: very good descriptions, video's in English (Bahasa subtitles), audio's in English and Bahasa and interactive maps. One of the pictures shows the floorplan and what to see. Takes 1-2 hours depending on interest. Free admission. Exhibition is wheelchair accessible! No aids however for blind or visually impaired.
  • Great little museum. It hasn't been updated in a while though but this actually adds to its charme. It is basically a crash course on Kuching/Sarawak as it has exhibits on both the animals of the island (it even has some of Alfred Wallace's collection) as well as the history of the place. It also has a lifesize model of a traditional Longhouse complete with real human skulls hanging over a fake fire.
  • The museum is an excellent place to learn about Sarawak, its people, culture and nature. Free entrance. Unfortunately, no pictures are allowed.
  • Needs to be updated. Nice colonial history and good to be preserved.
  • very important place of history in sarawak. hope the government can help to conserve this place
