  • i visited the Annas Rais Longhouse for a day trip. The experience was memorable and inexpensive. Though it is not as authentic, it is close enough to Kuching for a day trip. For urbanites like us and ...  more »
  • Yes, longhausy now-the "village of contrasts". On the one hand, the old man, vytesyvajushhij poles-feet, on which he will climb on the very tall trees to get fruit from them, with the other boys, quite competently playing children in chess. In the "staff room", a type of Red corner in our building boards-stacked plastic chairs were drawn up on which they sit during meetings, Center-Wire basket with human skulls on the wall opposite the Wai fai router. In the rooms, placed in the image and likeness of distant ancestors, ladder to the second floor of the logs with a barely noticeable stesami instead of stairs and stairs without handrails famously climbs 80-year-old grandmother. But the laptop is worth. On a bamboo flooring, going along the entire longhausa, dried some roots, fruit, roam the roosters, under deck crawling with pigs. Around, as they say themselves zhteli longhausa-"our supermarket"-derve'ja, studded with fruits, herbs, growing by themselves ... Want to zamett' that we have not seen costumed in suits, not accompanied and did not sing songs. People lived his usual life, that what were planing was, cooked, parked another room for the newlyweds. So we had no sensation of the circus or tourist attraction. Some of the most vivid impressions from visiting Borneo.
