Where to stay in Kuantan

The growing economy of Kuantan has spurred a recent spate of modern midrange accommodation options popping up all over the city. Though this does not bode well for the budget-conscious, you'll still find excellent bed and breakfasts, hostels, hotels, and guesthouses with basic, clean rooms near amenities like the center of town, the city's bus station, and portside. If you're able to splurge a little, then a couple of luxury hotels exist here with air-conditioning, swimming pools, spa and massage treatment rooms, and high-speed Internet.

  • Wide selection of batik merchandise at reasonable prices. Remember to bargain. Heard they are the wholesaler to other shops so prices are generally cheaper. Didn't get to try making our own batik design.
  • Friendly staff. Good to experience make the batik your self and can make it become t-shirt or cushion cover or pirrow cover.
  • Quite run-down, but if you're looking for some batik, this is it!
  • Malaysian Traditional Fashion
  • Good service
