Where to stay in Kuantan

The growing economy of Kuantan has spurred a recent spate of modern midrange accommodation options popping up all over the city. Though this does not bode well for the budget-conscious, you'll still find excellent bed and breakfasts, hostels, hotels, and guesthouses with basic, clean rooms near amenities like the center of town, the city's bus station, and portside. If you're able to splurge a little, then a couple of luxury hotels exist here with air-conditioning, swimming pools, spa and massage treatment rooms, and high-speed Internet.

  • If you want to visit a zoo with many animals, this is not the place. It's free with minimal animal care. Don't know why this place existed. Poor animals.  more »

  • Kind of sad to see all the animals in less than ideal conditions - the ostrich had plucked itself bare. The only animal that seemed to be thriving and happy were the crocodiles! The snakes area was empty except for one Burmese python.
  • Pretty quiet spot to spend a couple hours. As the name implies, it's a 'mini' zoo. So don't go expecting to see exotic wild animals. You'll be disappointed. Saw some birds, crocs, and iguanas. Pretty much it. Botanical garden was quite serene.
  • Meh. Enclosures are tiny and animals look like they hate their life especially the bears. Some parts smell pretty bad too.Place has quite a few animals but they're pretty normal animals like peacocks, snakes, a brown bear but it's free so it's up to you.
  • Not a lot of animals to see. Managed just OK. This is free entry and Parking . Kids will like it. check the rabbit feeding.
  • Nice mini zoo. Free entrance
