3.6/5 based on 550+ reviews on the web
Admire the blend of different architectural styles at Jamek Mosque, the oldest mosque in the city. Built in 1909 by British architect Arthur Benison Hubback, the main building combines Moorish, Indo-Saracenic, and Mughal influences, with impressive whitewashed arches and a tall, striped minaret. Situated where the Klang and Gombak rivers meet, the grounds provide a tranquil place to walk and explore, with lush palms and the rivers idling by. • Great place for pray. Even there are workers for renovation. There are a tourist information center too. For you who want to know a little bit about Islam. If you want to be here. Head to Masjeed Jamesk station by LRT. The masjeed is across the street. For men, you need to wear pants long enough till under your knee. For women, you can wear a long pants and a scarf. But if you not bring it. The ta'meer (staff) let you borrow something you can wear for free.
  • Strategically located at confluence of Sg Klang and Sg Gombak.
  • It could be looking great. But it is under construction and the heavy works are taking over the entire place. The mosque is then closed for the moment. No information available about it.
  • Traditional Malay Muslim mosque. Good location with LRT station.
  • Nice old mosque. Located just beside LRT station.
