Jamek Mosque, Kuala Lumpur
(3.6/5 based on 550+ reviews on the web)
Admire the blend of different architectural styles at Jamek Mosque, the oldest mosque in the city. Built in 1909 by British architect Arthur Benison Hubback, the main building combines Moorish, Indo-Saracenic, and Mughal influences, with impressive whitewashed arches and a tall, striped minaret. Situated where the Klang and Gombak rivers meet, the grounds provide a tranquil place to walk and explore, with lush palms and the rivers idling by.
