Chinatown - Kuala Lumpur, Kuala Lumpur
(1.8/5 based on 5,500+ reviews on the web)
Experience a bustling cultural district at Chinatown - Kuala Lumpur. Originally settled by Cantonese and Hakkas drawn here because of the tin trade--and then partially destroyed during an 1870s civil war among Chinese immigrants--today the quarter retains an evocative atmosphere. Locals and tourists alike head here for the abundance of Chinese cuisine, international stores, and market stalls selling an array of trinkets, merchandise, and groceries. Haggling remains common, so make sure to give it a try if you want to secure the best possible price for what you find. • Spend a few hours here if you have no where else to go for food or shopping. Food means the local offering. More so the Chinese local fare since this is the Chinatown of KL. Go straight to Petaling St...  more »
  • Most stores will be opened at 10 pm. Many street vendors dealing with fake branded goods, Sri yahi was so prevalent snatch valuables, please be careful. Don't buy too much, except to eat and drink in the street.

  • I did not like it at all. Very dirty and very smelly .Not too much to see and no shopping as advertised in a brochure. Got back on the bus after 15 minutes.
