Bukit Tabur is practically a rock climbing hike to the top without harness, robe or any safety equipments. The hike is challenging but enjoyable. Thank God for random hikers that left their ropes dang...  more »

bukit tabur is the first mountain i climb here in malaysia., early at 5 am we're start walking following the trail aiming to see the sunrise at the top, approximately 40 minutes walking but everything is worth it when u see the beautiful view of the city of kuala Lumpur and the lake view on the other side.

Tough trail. If you are not fit enough, please don't go there risk your life. However, the view from the top is breathtaking. The ridge is very long so many entrance and trails can be accessed. You will see a reservoir on the top and snap a few nice photos.

The place is currently closed due to fatal accident that happened last October 2016. We arrived 5am still dark and surrounded with house's . A dirty white dog with dark green lace bitten one of my friend. We've asked the people of the nearby house but we are told no one owns the dog but I wonder who dare to put the lace which identify having master. Here is the dog picture.

Trekking is forbidden. Due to fatal accidents the east entrance to the track is closed and the fine is 1000MYR. There is another entrance, though, with no signs. The trail is not very hard, but good trekking shoes are recommended. Don't forget to take some water with you. Once again - the trail is closed now, I did it when it was open.

We didn't realise when we started climbing that it is not an 'up and down' climb, but a tour around the hill' I was worried that I wouldn't find my way back down again because the path didn't seem to me to be adequately marked. Had I realised that the walk was all around the hills and not just up and down along the same path, I would have gone more adequately prepared. As it transpires, the walk is quite long, so go prepared.
