Aquaria KLCC, Kuala Lumpur

Visit Aquaria KLCC, an aquarium located under the thriving city center. Opened in 2005, this state of the art attraction occupies two levels and features a 90 m (300 ft) underwater tunnel where you're surrounded on all sides by a rich diversity of aquatic life. Themed to represent a journey from land to the darkest depths of the ocean, this largely interactive and educational facility is home to 250 different species from both surf and turf, native to the country and from farther afield. See colorful creatures in themed exhibits including a coral walk, electric zone, living fossils, and oceaniarium--and keep your eye out for sharks. • My partner and I loved the shark tank! The travelator was a nice touch and a good way to take your time in the domed area. A good way to beat the afternoon heat.  more »

  • I love aquariums. Wonderful place to bring children. Right beside KLCC so conveniently located for tourists. Many types of fish can marine related creatures can be found. Not suitable for photographs cause it's dim and many of the fish move too quickly. However, wonderful for families.
  • The Aquaria KLCC is a great place to visit, especially on a rainy day! The aquarium boasts a 90-meter glass tunnel with moving floor that takes you through sharks, turtles, and stingrays. This is definitely not a place just for children!
  • Great aquarium. That was my first time seeing Sand Tiger Sharks. There were also piranhas, turtles, other sharks, stingrays, cow nose rays, groupers and arapimas. They let you touch the animals. The underwater tunnel was the best part. They also have so many feeding shows: shark feedings and other animal feedings. This aquarium is the best attraction in KLCC.
  • Great place to spend time with family. All I can say is this is an awesome place and the variety is very huge. If you plan to come here, watch out for feeding schedule so that you don't miss awesome sightings.
  • Great place to bring kids for the day. Went on a weekday to avoid a crowd but to my dismay it was still crowded. It was nice and kids will really enjoy learning about the species of fish and be able to even see sharks and large sea creatures that they usually would not be able to experience without diving or snorkeling. Best to eat at one of the many food outlets before entering as you may spend several hours there. Toy/souvenir shop can be a little be pricey but it is due to this being a tourist attraction.
