Aquaria KLCC, Kuala Lumpur

Visit Aquaria KLCC, an aquarium located under the thriving city center. Opened in 2005, this state of the art attraction occupies two levels and features a 90 m (300 ft) underwater tunnel where you're surrounded on all sides by a rich diversity of aquatic life. Themed to represent a journey from land to the darkest depths of the ocean, this largely interactive and educational facility is home to 250 different species from both surf and turf, native to the country and from farther afield. See colorful creatures in themed exhibits including a coral walk, electric zone, living fossils, and oceaniarium--and keep your eye out for sharks. • Since we didn't plan anywhere to go during the chinese new year, we brought the kids to Aquaria KLCC. I bought the tickets through travelog.com which was cheaper than the online tickets. The kids had ...  more »

  • A really amazing place. The aquarium is so big and spacious. Have a long underwater tunnel! Bless your eyes with many kinds of gorgeous, unique and cute underwater creatures! You'll spend your time for almost two hours without realizing it. Preferably noon time to visit (around 12pm after the feeding session). Since the sea creatures will be awake at that time. If it's too early some of them are still asleep.
  • I love aquariums. Wonderful place to bring children. Right beside KLCC so conveniently located for tourists. Many types of fish and marine related creatures can be found. Not suitable for photographs cause it's dim and many of the fish move too quickly. However, wonderful for families.
  • Awesome place of marine life!!! My family enjoyed very much. We booked through Klook, nevertheless I still have to follow the queue to the counter, which took quite some time. It was work the wait though as the place offers a lot, so we had no regrets. The place was just adjacent to KLCC Park so it was convenient, and very near also to the Hop-On-Hop-Off bus waiting area, so it was easy to get back to the bus after we finished the aquarium.
  • I enjoyed this small aquarium. As an aquarium buff, i try to visit all aquariums i possibly can. Great place to take the family on a rainy day. I really wanted to give it 5 stars. I did not for the following reasons: Hot&Humid... very poor ventilation. Noisy. So loud in some parts it is not comfortable to stay. In particular was the "ocean" sounds projected in the undersea tunnel. And price... for a family of 4 it is a big expense at 69 ringgit a person. But staff are great! Knowledgeable and Helpful.
  • It's really a long queue during the holidays. So if it's a public holiday then make sure u reach there around 9.00 am. But I believe it's worth for the wait. Very rare species of fish were found. The thriller was piranha fishes. The jelly fish are absolutely a treat to watch.
