Yes, it costs a lot of money before Malaysian conditions and probably it is therefore relatively empty. But the system is very large and the elephants are - well maintained according to our humble view -. That certainly cost a lot. In addition, it is not (only) circus, but also much teaching the local population, who are very skeptical of elephants. We have first of all a beautiful canopy walk looked at. Then you come to the elephant. We could feel the small elephants under the supervision of the mahouts (from Thailand), stroke, feed. On larger rounds, one could ride a small circuit. Then the elephant show also tricks - OK. Here you can be divided, whether it has or not to be. I anyway, consider a training to the extent reasonable, because then obviously people dealing with the animals. We also learned that the elephant is also classically used in forest work. You can help even a little while bathing the elephants. The shower of the elephants there are free. The trip has made US Europeans with two children (4 and 8) a lot of fun and we had no bad conscience, that we support a wrong setting up with the money.

Because this is a Sanctuary was called, we visited this park. Otherwise I never but never money. We were the only visitors on a quiet day. You walk down a few first walkways where the elephants are chained to a pole that will see. Above that pole, in the tree, is a small hut where people probably sleep in May. The elephants exhibit traumatized behavior, rocking back and forth and they look miserable. Then we were allowed to, after a short ride on a big elephant, two small elephants of 3 years of old will see up close and touch it. There were ' trainers ' at that sticks vasthadden. The elephants were given commands to redirect and to their proboscis up to do. When no one was listening, I saw that one of the trainers the elephant stuck with a small type of needle that he quickly hid in his hand. Next, if the elephants in the river swimming and we they were allowed to wash. I saw that they were so happy to finally be together. Elephants live in herds and here they were in pens attached to poles or stopped. This was their only moment to be together. The ' trainers ' had sticks where a large hook put out. I don't even want to know what they do. The elephant had to lie down on her side in the water so that we could her wet splashing. She found it not at all pleasant, squeezed every time her eyes closed. So I chucked its just the ' trainer ' found that I had to splash around. I said that I would prefer that they had with the herd if swimming so I stopped to throw water on her. The ' trainer ' shrugged and ordered the elephant to get along out of the water. The entire herd was again taken out of the water after 10 minutes, back to their cage. I felt queasy when I park ran out. This was absolutely no care, but an abuse of these beautiful animals. Go here please don't go!
