  • My day trip took place on a diving boat. I had a companion who looked after me during the snorkeling on me. Vergichen is rather little to shen with other snorkeling spots.

  • While snorkeling at Manukan Island we saw a lot af trash in the ocean. Not many fish there as well. Disappointing!  more »
  • The Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park is located on a small island off the coast of the city, because it is very close to the city, and the boat ride is about half an hour away. The park's environment is intact, absolutely beautiful, with white sand on the beach with very clear blue sea water.

  • Beautiful island, can spend good time here. Safe for kids as well.
  • I spent two days diving here in September 2018. Unfortunately the dive company I was with were very poor but the beauty of the marine park made up for it. The coral reefs are very diverse and colourful and support a lot of life. We saw a huge number of fish species including a Black Tip Shark! The water was warm enough to dive in a short wetsuit and even though I'm only qualified to dive to 18m there was plenty of choice on where to dive. The islands themselves are beautiful and have been well equipped for tourists and visitors. There are many sandy beaches to choose from with shops renting snorkels and fins for a reasonable fee. There are restaurants serving western and Malaysian food so you would be easily catered for if you wanted to spend the whole day on the islands. Boats go to and from the mainland very regularly and there are many companies on the harbour offering guided tours or simply transportation. I would not recommend Diverse Borneo after my experience but there are lots of others to choose from. I would highly recommend a visit here if you're spending time in Kota Kinabalu.
  • Just a beautiful place for a hike, snorkeling or make use of the zipline. The clear blue water is amazing! And you can see a lot of wildlife at this place.
  • It was a small, cozy beach. Whether you could enjoy leisure activities like diving and snorkeling, it is beach. Fishing tours were all right here.
  • Wonderful place to spend a holiday. Water is good but not as good as phi phi Island All together a good place.
