Sutera Harbour Golf & Country Club, Kota Kinabalu

4.1
#2 of 6 in Golf in Sabah
Crisp, bright greens, swaying palm trees, and 27 holes of undulating terrain are set against the turquoise ocean backdrop at Sutera Harbour Golf & Country Club. This resort is famous for its carefully crafted golf course covered in Bermudagrass. The course, designed by Graham Marsh, is dotted by challenging bunkers and crisscrossed by waterways. Golfers can choose from different combinations of 18 holes, each offering a 72-par game. Stop at the clubhouse after your game to refuel with a delectable dish, and to take in the sunset on the island. The course offers the only night golfing in East Malaysia. • When we went, we had v high expectations and thus was promptly disappointed by the condition of green and fairways. We played all 27 holes. Only Garden and Lake prove to have better course layout but even then.... For the price, the club can do better.
  • Fun to play golf here. For fitness they have gym. Swimming pool, nice view..
  • Well this place have a good sea view and a lot of sports facilities... it is such a good place for holiday.
  • Nice it's just that is no appealing at the out side the hotel what I mean is activity such as children playing running here and there.People should go crazy on they vacation.I hope u know what I mean, all I see at the out side is sutra harbour a big landscape and golf club and also ship harbour all this to me boring.
  • Better than Likas Golf Club. Definitely 5 stars.

Where to stay in Kota Kinabalu

In the area of Sepanggar you'll find the main set of hotels, ranging from simple and mid-priced, to the more luxurious with good sea views. Move away from the coast for more space and privacy in resort-style hotels, which offer a range of facilities and comfortable, sometimes quirky rooms and apartments. Farther out still, you'll find backpacker motels, giving easy access to the surrounding natural attractions that, after all, are the primary reason for being here.
