Observatory Museum
From the top of Signal Hill Observatory Platform you can see Kota Kinabalu from above. Reach the summit by car or by climbing the 250 or so steps, and then see if you can make out the bay just beyond the high rises. If you choose to climb the steps, you will be thankful for the refreshments sold by the viewing platform's resident kiosk. • No view because of ugly modern buildings. The steps down through the forest was the best bit. But everyone drives there. No one stays longer than a pointless 90 seconds. Utterly underwhelming.
  • Very spectacular view which shows the whole city of Kota Kinabalu. Reaching here by foot requires around 15 minutes of climbing through wooden and bamboo walkways from hill base. Small canteen available here, providing drinks and food.
  • Marvelous view of the city, sea and islands. Accessible by walking or own transport; unfortunately no public transportation to site.
  • It is a great place to see the Lots Kinabalu city but pretty much not recommended to see the sunset because all the building is blocking the Ocean view. Parking space is very limited. Almost 4 (maybe) parking space here are available. Sometime people park their car on the side of the rode. Kinda makes it a bit dangerous. During the night the signal hill view is close (the shops only) but during midnight there are some people hanging out here. Highly not recommended to come here during the night after 10 or 11.
  • We always go here together with my husband.. we had happy time together
