Learn about marine life at Marine Aquarium and Museum, a cultural institution showcasing different aquatic ecosystems and their inhabitants. With a good collection of creatures and plants displayed in natural-looking tanks--including sea turtles, mangroves, and tropical fish--the facility offers a particularly good option for younger visitors, who may be unable to explore the island's underwater areas in the wild. The site offers a wealth of information panels and interactive experiences. The facility is linked to the local university, as it is a leading research facility detailing different ecosystems, the dangers they face, and what can be done to protect them.
