  • Quite peaceful, but very green/brown all the way round (the nature of the place!). Don't expect to see much, especially if, like me, you are followed in by a Chinese tour group who felt the need to ma...  more »
  • In the city, close to the wetlands. Wood tech building is able to move. Mangrove trees and the shade so hot in La does not go on during the day.

  • Okay, not much to see but soooo quiet. Millions of snails and crabs. You can hardly catch the birds but they're there!
  • Lots of effort done by Kota Kinabalu City Bird Sanctuary to perserve this mangrove. It educate the public of types of animals, insects, trees and etcs that we may not learn from our school books. Aside, it is an ideal activity (a short trail) for families with young children and those who loves mother nature.
  • Nice board walk in the mangrove forest. You need to walk a few hundred meters on the ground if you want to walk the full circle. It can be muddy. Unique experience.
  • It's called the wetlands Centre now and is excellent. Very quiet and peaceful. A cool place to see birds and walking through the wetlands at the end is a blast
  • magnificient scenery and exotic birds, suitable for the whole family for a wonderful getaway
