Where to stay in Kota Bharu

Most accommodation in Kota Bharu remains clustered near downtown on the right bank of the Sungai Kelantan River. Options range from small budget-friendly guesthouses to towering modern hotels, with everything staying relatively affordable. Spending a little extra generally results in a significant upgrade in quality, with simple rooms quickly turning into well-appointed digs replete with amenities such as Wi-Fi, satellite TV, and access to a swimming pool. Still, those stretching their travel budgets should find plenty of basic, clean rooms around town.

  • A must visit place when you are in Kota Bharu. Espceially if you love old palaces and you love architecture and the wood carving art. They have many regalia and display but labels are not really well written. They should've have put more information or give pamphlets for tourist to learn more.
  • It's a pleasant museum but it didn't excite me. It's quaint but there is not so much to see as it's quite small.
  • Nice place to visit. Historically placed
  • A great place to learn about our local history
  • Great view of Gebang Istana.
