Sultan Abu Bakar Mosque stands watchfully over the city of Johor Bahru. Built between 1892 and 1900, the Victorian-style mosque is elegant, representing a unique blend of architectural styles with a strong western flair. The minarets are said to be a nod to the style of British watchtowers, and the mix of architectural styles are decidedly Arabian in design. The mosque can accommodate up to 2,000 worshippers and welcomes both muslims and nonmuslims. Be sure to dress respectfully; you will be denied entry otherwise.   • Very old mosque is having amazing design with big garden around you walk It was closed for renovations once we came so we took nice photo from outside 
  • This is a beautiful iconic mosque overlooking the sea. The mosque is cool and have 'old beauty' to it.
