Johor Zoo, Johor Bahru

(2.3/5 based on 180+ reviews on the web)
Stroll through Johor Zoo, a small venue in the center of the city with a good selection of wildlife. The zoo boasts a long history dating back to 1928 and has in recent years been renovated to better acommodate the animals. Entry is inexpensive and the cages fairly cramped, but the variety of animals is suprisingly high for a wildlife sanctuary of its size. The kid-friendly park also offers several rides around the facility and occasional shows featuring different animals. • Best zoo in Malaysia PERIOD. Up-close and personal animal feeding for elephants, camels and many other animals. Touching and photo taking is allowed and free of charge. Entry fee is RM2, animals' foods are charged separately. Parking is the only problem. Bears, tigers and lions are amazing and lively.
  • you can feed animals by yourself.. kids will love those things.
  • Good place for playing pokemon go now. Look good after upgrade
  • Animals are in better shape than the ones in Melaka Zoo, anytime! Nice way to kill 2 hours in JB with the kids.
  • Worst experience ever. A group of locals were destroying the zoo, pulling out signs and hitting the animals. Then when they saw our disgust, they started shouting obscenities to us. When we notified staff they did not care. There was no security. For your safety do not go there.
