Johor Zoo, Johor Bahru

2.5
#1 of 7 in Parks in Johor Bahru
Stroll through Johor Zoo, a small venue in the center of the city with a good selection of wildlife. The zoo boasts a long history dating back to 1928 and has in recent years been renovated to better acommodate the animals. Entry is inexpensive and the cages fairly cramped, but the variety of animals is suprisingly high for a wildlife sanctuary of its size. The kid-friendly park also offers several rides around the facility and occasional shows featuring different animals. • Few kinds of animals located in the southwest of Johor Bahru, Johor Strait along the Abubakar mosque, and facilities are not good but admission is 2 RM is glad, you could see at your doorstep, such as the camel.

  • Admission to the Zoo is only 2 RM 1 RM for adults and for children. The Zoo remains 70 or 80 years. Any Malaysia rarely people to this place. The place is not very big but clean. Souvenir items are also not too expensive due to the deserted visitors. It is suitable when carrying children aged under 5 years.

  • Zoo is well kept and clean. The animals looked well taken care off. Food to be fed to the animals are sold at reasonable prices. The staff are courteous and efficient. Great experience + great family outing location.
  • Located in the centre of JB. Its a nice place to visit for an extremely cheap price. But its lack of parking space. Weekends crowd are quite big since the other options are only malls and expensive amusement parks. Lots of fun activities and suitable for spending time with family.
  • Good for kids, cheap fee with standard maintenance, but difficult to roam using baby stroller/prams. No taxi stand nearby, so must use online cab. There is one nice air-conditioned mosque nearby (Gertak Merah Road)
  • I think this is the best zoo in Malaysia. Quite many animals and no mosquitoes. Clean place and very cheap price. My daughter love this place so much.
  • Nice place to spend 2 - 3 hours here. The entrance fee is just 2 ringgit for an adult. The animal are well looked after and is healthy.
