  • Really interesting place to learn about the history of the tin mines and also about Ipoh development. We did the guided tour. You can go there directly, but it's better if you reserve the tour in advance in their website, specially in high season. The guide was really nice and knowledgeable, we enjoyed the visit a lot. It's a non profit organization and you can leave the donation you want in the post box near the exit door. The recommended donation is 10RM, but you can give more or less, depending of your budget.
  • A good place to learn about history of Ipoh and Tin mining industry. The guide will explain to you very thoroughly and you will get a chance to explore the club in mostly its original form. After the tour you can give them a donation of RM10 per person so that they could use it on restoration of the house and also as a token of appreciation .
  • Well curated museum dedicated to the Hakka clan. Very informative displays manned by very friendly guides who are fluent in English and Mandarin. Happy to part with the recommended RM10 donation per person which will go some way to maintaining and running the museum. Do make sure you book the walk-in tour to avoid disappointment. Good view of the town from the roof top on a clear day too.
  • Book in advance for limited lots available every day. Informative and fun tour guide takes you on a 1-hour journey on Hakka tin-mining history in ipoh. Wax figures and various antiques showcased. Free entry but public donation encouraged for maintenance purpose.
  • Very nice exhibits. Great effort put into it's restoration. Tour was detailed and more than 1 hr. Very friendly guide who knew his stuff and answered questions well and with humour. Must visit if in Ipoh.
