  • Although older, we like this place for good selection, good quality local stores at reasonable prices. Does not have the glamor of the other malls but I find it more interesting and a better value. Parking is cheap and not over crowded, you do have to drive up 7 floors in a corkscrew ramp but you'll get there.
  • Prangin Mall has naturally been overshadowed by its newer neighbour (1st avenue) located just across the street, however, it still has its own charm and one could find a good deal if they look hard enough. There are also a number of hobby shops dotted around the mall.
  • It is an very old mall in Penang. But you can find a lot of things that you normally can't find in other malls. If you are looking for food, there is plenty here. If you like to enjoy the western cuisine or pizza or cafe, head to Lot 33 located at the Sub Basement. If you wanted something more local, you can try out the local coffee shops that is available here in abundance. There is also gadgets for you to buy. Prangin Mall is well renowned for its offering of the latest and sometimes old gadgets at a very competitive price.
  • Usual low middle to middle class shopping mall. Plenty of cheap & good stuff. Mobile phones galore on the ground floor
  • Prangin Mall is more of a "budget mall" now. It doesn't have international name-brand clothing stores nor lots of fast food restaurants (if you like that sort of thing). Its stores are more modest but if you want good, cheap shopping then this mall is good. It is well air conditioned and clean, plus it has links to the other malls next to it.
