Architectural Building Landmark
For sweeping views of Penang ride an elevator to the top of Komtar, a 65-storey high rise that remains one of the tallest buildings in Malaysia. You can also enjoy the view from the buffet restaurant operating on the 58th floor. On the lower floors, look for affordable local boutiques and stalls specializing in laptop, cell phone, and camera repair services. • Nice place for shopping and play bowling, Food court also very near , perfect place for hangouts
  • Low maintenance and cleaning service in certain places
  • A lot of cool things can be done now at KOMTAR compare to previous year
  • Vast complex, although some parts are run down and out of business. It's being revived with some new projects and developments.
  • I miss those days when piracy was rampant and there were millions of VCDs DVDs and warez of all sorts along the corridors. Bought my overpriced Panasonic Q here only to sell later to someone in the US and even made a profit. Hah. Early days of the Internet. The cinema upstairs that showed Indian movies before its appointment with death was my favorite hangout. I learned later that it became a Malay restaurant. Tried to take pictures there but only got kicked out. Anybody with any old pictures of it kindly post them up.
