Specialty Museum Museum
Enjoy the ornamental architecture of Khoo Kongsi, a Chinese clanhouse in George Town's World Heritage-listed area. The Khoo Kongsi clan of wealthy Chinese traders constructed the complex in stages beginning in the 17th century. Today the complex features an ornate and elaborate association building, a traditional theater, and late 19th-century rowhouses. The protected buildings represent good examples of Chinese design, and guided tours elucidate the culture of the clan, their influence on the area, and the history of the clanhouse itself. • The entrance fee if RM10 is worth every amount spent if u ask me. Besides the temple, there is a gallery which tells you the history of the place, even have a small dining area with wax figurines. A good place for selfies / wefies. The traditional ice cream stick at RM1 found at the shop is worth trying too. (I tried the lemon flavour-refreshing for the hot weather!)
  • Not busy. You can explore the place and admire the craftsmanship at ease. Entrance fee is nominal. Surely worth visit.
  • Probably the best maintained of the clan temples I've been too. Very detailed artwork on the walls, ceilings and roofs. Small fee, currently RM10 per person.
  • excellent lion dance performance every last Saturday of the month. it's free, enjoy.
  • Quite Serene location. Good place to take a break from the heat
