  • My experience to this National park was a great adventure. I went there with few friends and we started early at around 9 am, we hiked 10km to the last beach there called the Golden Beach. worth the e...  more »
  • National Park by seaside, a couple of chalet that needs maintenance, recommended going jungle trekking to add on experience deep into the forest. Do bring along mosquito repellent.  more »
  • A wonderful spicy walk of about 5 hours through this park! Very slippery and rise and fall. But very special. Not so many birds and animals. There you have to be very early for. On the way back on the beach. You should now not swim because the sea was too wild. Park also gives explanations. For children from 7 years very suitable!

  • Good destination for one day trip, but with some objections. Park is long and narrow, it has only one route with some minor variations. It is 10 km long, going there and back can take as long as 8h as it is jungle trek all the way. Further part of the route is in rather bad condition, with huge fallen trees, spiky bushes, a lot of mud etc. For me it's more adventure and more fun, but it can be a problem for some people. Be sure to have your own food, as the only canteen closes on 5 pm. Salesman/cook is very nice and helpful :) A lot of interesting animals live in the park - we saw gibbons, crocodile, varanus lizards. First night we spend in the park there was karaoke party in the chalet next to our tent. It was extremely loud, with huge loudspeakers in front of the building, it ended long after midnight. It must scared animals in range of few kilometres. I can't imagine how anyone came up with idea of such event in national park and how someone allowed for it. We barely slept that night.
  • A unique trekking trails along the shore experiencing both the tropical rainforest beauty with the soothing waves sound. The park is beautiful and the beach is pristine especially turtle beach and golden beach. The only drawback is that plastic bottles and garbage were lying around along the trails and at the beaches. Park authority should look into this.
  • Nice enough park, but nothing spectacular. At least not this time of year. Spent a day hiking to Batu Anchau and Turtle Beach. Canteen is limited, but enough to survive. 20 RM park entrance fee might be a bit steep, but 15 RM for a decent dorm bed is quite a good deal.
  • Finally, the best interpretation centre I have ever seen among national parks in Sarawak. However, the jungle trail has not been cleared for months. Lots of roadblock by fallen trees and bushes along the trail. I will not recommend to go to jungle trail during bad weather or rainy season. It is not worth to walk for 10km to Golden Beach as there are too many rubbish. Better off bbq near the chalets and relax.
  • Nice easy(3/10 challenge) jungle trek close by sea shore. Good for a day trip.
