  • Unfortunately, there is not much to see in this park. There are more lemurs, iguanas and others to observe elsewhere in Madagascar and especially with far fewer noisy tourists.

  • I had high hopes for this park based on others’ reviews. However, it was a great disappointment, which is the result of the guide and spotter I was given. (I wish I had their names to warn others of t...  more »

  • Amazing ❤️ 👌 so beautiful certainly worth the effort
  • The Ranomafana National Park is well preserved and in appropriate conditions. Extremely clean with friendly and efficient guides. It is appreciated to contribute to a responsible tourism, because part of the fee of these visits, goes to the conservation of the park and the study of the flora and fauna. The trail is safe and well conditioned, during the trail we saw 6 of the 11 different species of Lemurs, also chameleons and different birds. is quite safe and the guide is concerned that everything goes well. The guide can offer an evening tour to see nocturnal animals in the area. At the end of the long journey it is very rewarding and recommendable to take a dip in the thermal hot water pool of the town. The park might be over saturated of visits in high season, less charming and genuine. As people is talking and taking photos to the animals all the time.
  • A NICE PARK
  • Fantastic!! Amazing, definitely a must do while visiting Madagascar! Keep in mind that, as of Sept 2018, you pay for most EVERYTHING with local currency. IF you can find a ATM / CASH MACHINE it doesn't give much, maybe 400000 to 700,000. So you gotta load up a bit to pay for guides, tickets, drivers, hotels -though some do take VISA. We hiked 2 separate days, seeing 5 types of Lemurs, several Geckos, lizards, snakes, spiders, many birds, waterfalls, and tons of incredible fauna. So worth it!! You may get 2 guides, one a guide and one a spotter, the price for 1 guide is set, just make sure you negotiate any extra with the spotter. They are really sweet and helpful so not to much to worry, but do all negotiating in advance. It's so amazing here, come and ENJOY!!!
  • Ranomafana national park, home of the golden bamboo lemur. With the help of madasafari, a registered tour company based Madagascar, it was such a wonderful trip and beautiful place to go. A must see.
