Parc de Merl-Belair, Luxembourg City

4.3
#5 of 7 in Parks in Luxembourg City
A landscaped urban park, Parc de Merl-Belair sits just a short walk from the city center. The lawns and flowers offer an oasis for city dwellers, especially families with children who come for the play area. A small, manmade lake with a waterfall in the center of the park is a romantic spot to sit and take in the scenery. A cafe near the lake has a view of the playground. If you are traveling with children, you can watch the kids from here while you enjoy a refreshment. Inspirock's itinerary builder makes planning a Luxembourg City trip simple and quick.

  • It is a small but very nice park with the children facilities. The coffee shop is still closed and once it is open park will be more attractive.  more »
  • It must be very nice in the summer. We went in the winter, the weather was not good, he sees himself from the terrace of the hotel.

  • Excellent parc. Well maintained and regularly cleaned. Has a large outdoor playground for children and babies with swings (incl. swings for babies), slides, sand boxes and many more things. Also great to do some sport. Roughly 800m lap for runners, a sand football pitch and many wide open grass area. Very busy on sunny days, especially around the water or near the playground, it is always possible to find a quiet spot.
  • Spacious park with quite a nice playground for the younger ones, and nice features like a pond, a cafe and lots of picnic tables
  • Has nice grass areas to lay down and relax or play simple frisbee. Well maintained at any time. Is great for a walk as well and from time to time u can get ice cream there. Is simply missing some food options for full day stay... Could be solved with proper picnic though.
  • My favourite park with children. Lots to do., water and a restaurant.
  • nice parc too chill, go with family or friends or just take a walk in the beautiful greens of luxembourg

Where to stay in Luxembourg City

With 24 districts making up Luxembourg City, you might have a hard time choosing what neighborhood you like best. For starters, look at accommodations in Ville Haute, the medieval center, where you’ll be at the heart of the city and within walking distance to main attractions as well as public transportation. If stunning views are what you’re after, look into Ville Basse, a central neighborhood in the city’s gorge. Gare is also well-located, home to the city’s main train station as well as many lively restaurants and cafes filled with locals. Whether you stay in one of the city’s few hostels or a hotel, be prepared for high prices.
