Dent Creuse, Luxembourg City

3.4
#19 of 28 in Sightseeing in Luxembourg City
Architectural Building Tourist Spot
An important landmark for Luxembourg, Dent Creuse means "hollow tooth." These hollow ruins are what's left of the city's beginnings. The site is just a small collection of ruins, but the views of the city from the site draw tourists. You'll see the attraction on your way to the Bock Casemates, a large fortress and major tourist site. Dent Creuse is a five-minute walk from the city center. Where to stay in Luxembourg City

With 24 districts making up Luxembourg City, you might have a hard time choosing what neighborhood you like best. For starters, look at accommodations in Ville Haute, the medieval center, where you’ll be at the heart of the city and within walking distance to main attractions as well as public transportation. If stunning views are what you’re after, look into Ville Basse, a central neighborhood in the city’s gorge. Gare is also well-located, home to the city’s main train station as well as many lively restaurants and cafes filled with locals. Whether you stay in one of the city’s few hostels or a hotel, be prepared for high prices.
