Cathedrale Notre-Dame, Luxembourg City

Must see · Church · Architectural Building
Built in the late-Gothic style, Cathedrale Notre-Dame contains the tombs of several important historical figures, including John the Blind, Count of Luxembourg and King of Bohemia from 1310 to 1346. The impressive 17th-century architecture also warrants a close look: note the beautiful sculpted portal and Baroque organ gallery. Politicians and royalty walk these halls every year after Easter, when the national pilgrimage brings people to the closing ceremony at this church. • Another beautiful and iconic place in Luxembourg. You must add this to your travel plan but also respect the place as many locals are going there for Mass and we should not disturb them. Beautiful Gothic architectural design can be seen.
  • Lovely and beautifully gorgeous gothic style cathedral. The entrance is carefully crafted with an exterior that glows in the soft morning sun. The crypts holds beautifully constructed resting places and bright stained glasses that filter the sun into rays of colours. Impressive architecture
  • The cathedral of Notre-Dame is truly beautiful and kept in good condition. The atmosphere is peaceful even though the inside of the cathedral is mesmerising. You'll feel as if you've just arrived in wonderland. The colours of the stained glass windows are rich and will leave you in awe. A big must for tourists !
