  • Castle looks very new, is not to visit but the exhibits. In the neighborhood are several castles to visit.

  • Located in the heart of the city, can't miss it very well maintained. No visit of the castle in itself but there is a permanent photo exhibition "The Family of Man", organized by Edward Steichen for the Museum of modern art in New York in 1955. It is now exhibited in Clervaux

  • The Castle, perfectly restored, dominates the city of its White mass of unusual architecture. The visit consists in two exhibitions inside the rooms. So no explanations on the life of the castle itself... A small museum is about the battle of the bulge, with documents and weapons and items that will interest the last war history buffs. Unfortunately the space is very small and often gives the impression of a true Capernaum... The second Museum in several rooms a collection of scale models of the main cities of the Luxembourg with their Castle. The scale is important and very aesthetic whole.

  • This a worthwhile visit for anyone interested in anthropology, photography, social pychology. E Steichen gifted a monumental photographic exhibition and archive to Luxembourg after it toured the world, this is now on perminant display at Clervaux and features some of the most famous names in documentary photography of the 1950s: W. Eugene Smith, Henri Cartier Bresson, George Rodger, Robert Frank, Walker Evans...the list goes on and on. I went last year with my wife and a friend of ours, I am a photographer, they are not, and they loved it almost as much as i did!
  • It is an ok place to visit or hiking. Some nice restaurant and coffee places.
  • Worth a visit because of the family of man exhibition.
  • Very interesting museum and building itself. Recommendable.
  • A castle not to be missed in Luxemburg
