Inspirock Rating:
4/5 based on 480+ reviews on the web
As the tallest building in the country, Vilnius TV Tower offers unrivaled views and holds a memorial for those who died in 1991 resisting Soviet troops. Standing more than 326 m (1,071 ft) tall (with its antenna included), the tower rises above Vilnius, forming a notable piece of its skyline. Ascend via elevator to the observation platform; from here you can enjoy a panoramic view of the city and its surroundings, or get a drink or bite to eat at the tower's cafe. The entire platform makes a complete revolution once every hour. Don't miss the museum on the ground floor, dedicated to the 14 Lithuanian civilians killed in their attempts to blockade Soviet forces in 1991 and defend their country's newly asserted independence. • This was not good. First, it costs € 20.-for taxi each way. Then € 6.-per person to get into the restaurant. It was not nice. Great views in the daylight. But what you see. Only a big city far away. In the evening you will see nothing. We waited an hour for the food, which was not provided as described in the menu. It was sent out again. Use the time and money on something else.

  • We´ve been disappointed by the TV tower. First they ask 6€ for entrance. That´s quite a lot. Than, when we got to the top, waitress didn´t notice us even though we´ve been standing right next to the b...  read more »
  • Good homemade burgers, fast service and cheap prices. The view was amazing and the restaurant nicely decorated.
  • Absolutely superb! Fantastic views across the city and the food in the restaurant is excellent. This was the highlight of my week long trip. I will go back and take friends and family. ***Please note the TV tower opens at 11am but the restaurant opens at 1pm. *** Lastly, I have noted a few instances in Vilnius where venues have not been signposted very well. The TV tower was one of those instances. Currently (June 2016) you must go past the old overland entrance, down some stairs, turn right, through the glass doors and through a tunnel to get to the ticket office. • Great view, good service, good food, moderate prices, relax sit back and enjoy
  • On the day we visited, there were loads of kids running around and screaming as if their life was in danger. Needless to say, it spoiled our experience.
  • Not very good food, but the best view in whole country. Panoramic views of Vilnius. Best in sunny days.
  • Worth of the trip from Vilnius: on a sunny day you can see the entire city from the observation point (165m) and have lunch in a restaurant up there. The tables are located on a spinning circular support, so while you are eating you will be moving around the perimeter of the observation point. Reasonably priced menu, decent food. Recommended
