  • Adam Mickiewicz monument is located in one of the most visited places of Vilnius is next to churches of St. Anne's and Bernardine monastery. Modern monument, was erected in 80-ies of the 20-th century. It is difficult to discuss the character, little known in Russia, but is revered in Poland and probably in Lithuania. Once set, then deserved. The appearance of the monument did not cause any emotion, just a note, if you find yourself in this place.

  • The monument stands in the center of a small square near the Church of St. Anne Church and Bernardine monastery. The poet is surrounded by flower beds and plates that depict excerpts of his works. Tourists and pilgrims from Poland frequently come to Vilnius and don't forget "his" poet. I regularly see here flowers and wreaths in the national colors of the Polish flag. Mitskevich lived here in the neighborhood, the street of Bernardino, which goes back the old town almost from the monument. Now in the House, where he spent several years, organized a Memorial Museum. Monument in itself seems to me not very interesting. And here are the churches next to him on the street Majrone is well worth a look, so square with a sculpture I advise you look just down the road.
