  • The collection seen presidential palaces replenishes with another-this time in Vilnius. The Palace is applicable here is the residence of the President of Lithuania (since 1997). The building itself has adopted a modern appearance in Empire style in the mid-19-century (the project of Russian architect v. Stasov), and was originally built in the 16th century and served as a refuge of Vilnius bishops. It is worth mentioning the historical figures from different eras, staying in this place: the Polish King, Stanisław Poniatowski, cer' Russian, Alexander I, the French King Louis XVIII, Governor-General of Vilnius m. Kutuzov and even Napoleon. You can see the Palace of externally, you can come here for a tour in the Group and see the interiors (held on certain days). Around the Palace park, also deserves attention.

  • Imposing this Palace represents as well as the residence of the President of Lithuania and one of the architectural blunders, so much so that it is offset from the square and various modifications were required to plan for implementation. Too bad I looked inside, but you must register in advance with the appropriate site. To see

  • We went past the palace twice but unfortunately did not have time to explore in.more depth. The Palace is beautiful especially illuminated at night. Due to its rich history definitely worth a visit.
