  • Exhaustive and interesting exposition representing all the historical periods of this land and people.  more »
  • This is not a large museum. The collections are not extensive, but it is interesting to see the similarity of folk culture to other countries around the Baltic see, including Sweden. For many items yo...  more »
  • Everything is there: from prehistory to private collections. Some very moving memories of the Grand Army, decimated by disease. A small stone of St. Hélène. And beautiful national costumes.

  • I spent a couple of hours here and really enjoyed it! It's a great way to learn about Lithuanian history and see ancient artifacts. The museum is beautifully created inside the palace and there are parts of the original building visible and well explained in a English and Lithuanian. The observation deck provides beautiful views of the city. It's well worth your time to visit this museum !
  • Definately worth a visit if you want to get along with history of Lithuania
  • It was just really too small and boring for the central museum of Vilnius. Recommended for a short visit with foreigners not from Europe, they find it exotic and interesting. For Europeans nothing to see.
  • Not a huge range of exhibits and lacking much in the way of narrative to tie the sometimes random collection objects together. Did have a few nice pieces nonetheless. And it didn't cost much or take long.
  • Museum is not big but there are enough exhibits to keep you interested. I did especially enjoy it because of common history that my country has with Lithuania.
