  • This museum is located ion the north side of Vilnius city center, which is on the south bank of Neris river.
  • Beware, the Museum is very cool! Do not dispose of clothes in the wardrobe. Entry € 2 in general quite boring if you are not a zealous fanatic Hetmans and Kings.

  • As others have commented, it would help to have some background on Lithuanian history before starting in the museum but I was able to learn a lot anyway. While most of the museum was explained in sign...  more »

  • Most of expositions do not change for decades (there is one, which I remember from two decades ago). You are not allowed to photograph (even with a phone). I love history museums, but I'm feeling shame for this one. You'd better visit Palace of the Grand Dukes nearby.
  • It was just a quick visit up the funicular railway to the tower to look down on most of Vilnius. Just €1 to take the railway but then €4 to go up the tower. Great view and probably lots of interesting things in the museum, just didn't have the time. Very worth a visit even if just for the view.
  • An eclectic collection of local exhibits. Not too many surprises, but a very nice place.
  • Didelis pastatas
  • The museum isn't very large but they have some nice objects to see. I missed some background information on objects though.
