  • If you love delicious and tight to eat home-cooked food, you've come to the right place. The food is prepared on site, no shop. Only natural kitchen. Rich soups with meat, I recommend kharcho. The second meat dish-meat, and no nonsense. Great pastries, prepares the hostess. And no chemistry. Eat lunch here.

  • The fruit and vegetable market essentially, but which also offers different alternatives for low-cost clothing and household: closed on Mondays.

  • Here you need to take taxi to get to as it is located a distance away from the city. Order via Etaksi and you pay about 3-4.5 Euros from the old town. They see that you are a tourist and prices then both when it comes to fruit, clothes and other things. It was in fact higher prices compared to in Norway. OK to have seen but not any more than that. Be sure your bags!

  • You can buy literally anything here. It’s helpful to speak some Lithuanian or Russian, it can be difficult to communicate only in English. It’s better to go early in day to ensure a wider selection. The rotisserie chickens are awesome.
  • Regular market place. You can find cheap local food and random goods here, but you can also have trouble communicating in Lithuanian. Don’t even bother trying to speak English.
  • Spent 30 minutes in the market, seen 2 young guys buying tazers and trying to taze eaxh other in the midle of the street, got an offer to buy a stolen drill and saw a drunk guy picking a fight with a driver while crossing a street during the red light. Unique and awesome 1995 experience with some new buildings!!
  • Market next to public transport, cheap goods, some vendors dont even speak lithuanian so dont expect to communicate in english. From food to clothes and tools.
  • Horrible place! They say prices are low and quality is high here, but it's not! This place is not the unique and romantic city market, it's disappointing and disgusting abscess. Merchandise is low in quality, usually made in Russia or Peoples Republic of China, food is bought in supermarkets few days before putting it on the shelves. Not mentioned the fact of tax evasion. Shame of the city.
