Europos Parkas, Vilnius

2.8
#15 of 25 in Parks in Lithuania
Claiming to sit at the geographical center of the European continent, Europos Parkas combines nature and culture with wooded walking trails that lead to artistic sculptures. The 50 hectare (124 acre) park encompasses over 90 works from nearly 30 different countries, representing Europe, the Americas, Asia, and Africa. One of the park's most well-known attractions, the LNK Infotree, was constructed by Lithuanian artist Gintaras Karosas. The huge sculpture, which deals with the subject of propaganda, includes over 3,000 television sets and a toppled statue of Lenin. Once you've explored the park, you can rest your legs at the onsite outdoor restaurant. It serves an array of European cuisine amidst the peaceful setting of sculptures and apple trees. 9 euros per adult, 7 for students. 1.5 euros for a permit to shoot and 2 euro for parking. La pineta is beautiful but are found everywhere in Lithuania. The place is a tourist trap nice and good, the certificate of centre of Europe costs other 5 euros and it's in Lithuanian. The map is drawn by a child, thou art perplexed. Around there are baskets you can't throw in the trash. All uncared for. Yet I paid well 9 euros! The center of Europe is a pyramid careless without any inscription. Very bad!

The Park is really just for very interested in art. The sculptures are remaining and not to understand any description. The entry for €9 is overpriced and stays in the forest, to require a cheek.

Parking in spite of Lithuania relatively high price of €9 / person + €2, we have decided to visit. In hindsight, I have to say that it has profitable not. The map of the site is accurate, it is always most guess where you are now. The objects on the map are completely messed up numbered, so that is no help. There is also no continuous way. You have to go if you want to see everything twice many ways. If there were a better signs with clear map and description of the objects here I can give a better rating. But I find the exhibition not very successful especially but much too expensive.

Not well maintained park. Perhaps the fact that it was raining is influencing my judgement but not worth the 9euros of entrance. Sorry. There are nicer places in Vilnius

A very interesting place, perfect to spend half a day walking around and looking at some interesting pieces of art.

Its just a shame. I do not understand an art very well, still I know it should be looked after. No one cares about monuments and statues, no one cares about grass and forest, its just a simple forest for an 8 euros entrance fee.. A ticket man is very nice man though :) keep working, not just taking your visitors money. It could be a nice place to be... Which is nothing near like that for now.

Always a calm and peaceful place.

Neglected overpriced park! It is the center of Europe yet it is not clean for a park and being the center of Europe doesn't justify the 8 Euros entrance fee! + 2 Euros for parking your car! Half of the sculptures and monuments are covered in grass so you have a hard time looking for it. And For god's sake, take care of it.
