Europos Parkas, Vilnius

2.8
#4 of 6 in Parks in Vilnius
Claiming to sit at the geographical center of the European continent, Europos Parkas combines nature and culture with wooded walking trails that lead to artistic sculptures. The 50 hectare (124 acre) park encompasses over 90 works from nearly 30 different countries, representing Europe, the Americas, Asia, and Africa. One of the park's most well-known attractions, the LNK Infotree, was constructed by Lithuanian artist Gintaras Karosas. The huge sculpture, which deals with the subject of propaganda, includes over 3,000 television sets and a toppled statue of Lenin. Once you've explored the park, you can rest your legs at the onsite outdoor restaurant. It serves an array of European cuisine amidst the peaceful setting of sculptures and apple trees. • I traveled to many countries and places of interest, but this is by far the top 3 from the rear... pity that there is no minus points. Actually I read no reviews this but I would warn you against a scam and waste of money. The sculptures are almost invariably forfeited or lost and poorly labeled. All dirt and rubbish. Closed restaurant and toilets and no staff in the Park except for the Lady at the cash register. 9 euros per person admission plus 1.50 photo permission. A bad joke! Go there, definitely not! It's not worth to 1 euro.

  • I do not advise to spend that kind of money (9 euro sign Euro +1.5 photo + feeling parking!) for a walk in the Woods, where along the tracks stand sculpture similar to garbage or unnecessary construction, cause only the horror at what data sculptures in many countries are in the parks just free, for example, we have the same in Belarus)). a place exclusively for people with "wild" imagination. And to understand the "exposure" probably need something to smoke or drink))) ... and it's not just our opinion: travelers from Europe were also not happy) I can say one thing: there is very beautiful.

  • Unusual place, a paradise for lovers of strange locations and photos. Dozens of installations scattered around the edges of the forest. Here you can just relax, take a breath of fresh air and wander through the Woods.

  • A lot of sculptures and various projects, great forest. Suggestion to take all day long.
  • Not well maintained park. Perhaps the fact that it was raining is influencing my judgement but not worth the 9euros of entrance. Sorry. There are nicer places in Vilnius
  • Great place to spend summer day in surroundings of nature and art
  • A very interesting place, perfect to spend half a day walking around and looking at some interesting pieces of art.
  • Its just a shame. I do not understand an art very well, still I know it should be looked after. No one cares about monuments and statues, no one cares about grass and forest, its just a simple forest for an 8 euros entrance fee.. A ticket man is very nice man though :) keep working, not just taking your visitors money. It could be a nice place to be... Which is nothing near like that for now.
