  • As part of the counter-reformation movement, the Jesuits were spreading their influence in countries, remaining faithful to the Roman Church. This church was built in 1702-1709 Gg. with the assistance of a wealthy landowner and Sapega Hetman Radziwiłł. For the Jesuits it was already the second church in Vilnius after the Cathedral of St. Jan. However, this fulfilled a role as part of a monastery. However, the European absolutism did not satisfy over-activity of the Jesuits, the order began to prohibit everywhere. It happened and in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, in the year 1773. Catholic Church is not in the Center: it is necessary to cross the river Vidija on the Green Bridge. It is easy to learn-the two towers of the Church are visible from afar. It is an unusual double colouring. Bottom pink. Although architecturally the Church belongs to the late Baroque, he carries the features of late Rococo. Inside sneak failed-had been closed. Because that morning, perhaps.

  • The Church is a nice, quiet place. Not many tourists. Needs redecorating.
  • Perfect location for a church. Will be wonderful when restaurant will be done.
  • Peaceful.
  • A beautiful church, visible from afar. That unpleasantly surprised, so this ispisanye walls. Vandalism in Vilnius, alas, is thriving! :(

  • The beautiful church in the heart of Central Vilnius. However, the building is in a very strange refurbished-the update is only half of the building, the other half left as the former.
